Saturday, April 22 – Hamtramck Health Hike. To celebrate healthy lifestyles we will be doing a 5k walk/run through Hamtramck. The start time is 9am at Keyworth Stadium (3201 Roosevelt St, Hamtramck, MI 48212) and will end at the Hamtramck Community Center where there will be a Health Fair from 10am-12pm. There will be lunches provided and even a K9 presentation by the Highland Park Police.

Thursday, April 27 – Immigrant Women and Their Daughters: The Polish Experience. 6pm at the Warren Civic Library. Dr. Thaddeus C. Radzilowski, President of the Piast Institute, will be speaking at the lecture. This is also the official opening of the Polish Women’s Hall of Fame project (www.FamousPolishWomen.com). Saturday, April 29 – Prescription Take Back. 10am-2pm. In front of CVS (9300 Joseph Campau) in Hamtramck along with the Hamtramck Police and the DEA collecting unused and expired medication in the community. We are accepting pills for safe disposal. Last year we collected about 65 POUNDS of just pills (no bottles). Please mark out all personal information and no sharps or liquids please!
