What is the Polish American Congress of Michigan Scholarship Fund, Inc.?
The Polish American Congress of Michigan Scholarship Fund, Inc. is a non-profit organization under the laws of the State of Michigan. It is a 501c(3) organization under the Internal Revenue Service Code. The organization aims to provide financial assistance to students seeking undergraduate, graduate or professional degrees. The Fund was organized in 1972 under the name of the Tadeusz Czechowski Scholarship Fund. The name was later changed in 1977. The Fund has awarded scholarships to youth in each and every year of its existence.
Who is eligible to apply for a scholarship from the Polish American Congress of Michigan Scholarship Fund, Inc.?
Applicants must be residents of Michigan who are enrolled at an accredited school of higher education. Students may be pursuing undergraduate, graduate or professional degrees. Judging is based on the information submitted in the student’s completed application.
Scholarships are awarded based on the following factors:
- Scholastic Average
- Polonian Involvement
- Community Service
- Financial Need of the Student
How many grants has the Scholarship Fund issued?
As of the 2015-2016 Academic year, over 263 scholarship grants were awarded, which totaled over $222,300.00.
